Paris Proof targets for buildings
The Paris Proof targets for real estate are established by the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) and are expressed in energy consumption per square meter. For example, it has been determined that offices should consume no more than 70 kWh/m² per year by 2050. These targets aim to help the sector achieve energy savings that will enable buildings to operate entirely on renewable energy.
Mapping energy performance
Our Paris Proof Roadmap provides insights into whether you are on track to meet the 2050 Paris targets. If not, it identifies where you might fall short and what measures you need to take. We do this by examining both the energy consumption (primarily for heating and cooling) of the property and the actual energy usage. We also consider the energy needs of the tenant for their activities. Based on this, we calculate, using the WEii Real Energy Intensity Indicator, the necessary measures to further improve sustainability towards 2030 and 2050.

The result is you gaining insight into the current energy performance and any potential stumbling points on the way to a Paris Proof building. We also provide advice on the improvement measures to be implemented, with a CAPEX forecast and timeline to make the building Paris Proof by 2050 at the latest.
